Hi all.  Happy to be here and interacting with all of you.  My background is in Law Enforcement.  I did an internship with the Winter Garden Police Department when a student at Valencia before going off to FSU for a Criminology degree.  I received my Florida Law Enforcement certification from then Lively Law Enforcement Academy (now Pat Thomas LEA).  From there I got a job with the Police Department in Thomasville GA where I served 10 years.  During my time with the TPD north of the border I served patrol, bike, SRO, Community Relations, DARE, and the always present catch all other duties as assigned.

My career with the city then took me to work in the City’s GIS program where I got to continue the relationship with the police department by working with them in implementing GIS as a tool for law enforcement.

Now after 31 years with the city I have finally retired.  That retirement though was short lived and only lasted 2.5 weeks before I stared a new career with the Southern Georgia Regional Commission as a GIS Analyst.  I will still be able to support law enforcement through the RC’s work with the City of Valdosta and Lowndes County.

In my spare time I love spending time with the family, kayaking, mt biking and hiking.  Let me know your favorite place to mt bike/kayak/ or hike in FL and I will check it out.
